After a disastrous season and a half at Old Trafford, Manchester United decided to temporarily get rid themselves of the Alexis Sanchez problem last summer.
The Chilean set out for Inter Milan, although injuries have kept him from shining brightly on his return to Serie A.
However, the Italians are hoping he will prove his worth in what's left of the season, as everything points to the fact that they will no longer be able to count on Alexis Sanchez after the summer.
According to 'Daily Star', the player's agents have spoken in recent days with Ed Woordward, executive vice president of the Red Devils.
He has reportedly told Antonio Conte's team and its coaching staff that the Mancunians are counting on the player and that he has no intention of getting rid of him, either through transfer or loan.
This would mean that Alexis Sanchez will be joining the English club for the preseason and, unless there's a change of heart, he will be part of the squad for Manchester United's 2020/2021 season.
It should be remembered that the international for Chile, who signed with the Manchester team in January 2018, has a contract until 2022.
