Unai Simon's mistake that cost Spain World Cup exit

Yassine Bounou was Morocco's hero and Spain's villain at the World Cup in Qatar. The national team, coached at the time by Luis Enrique, lost on penalties on their way to the quarter-finals.

The Sevilla goalkeeper confessed his rogue act to Unai Simon's innocence on 'SNRT1 Al Aoula': "I spoke to the Spanish goalkeeper. He had a piece of paper with our players and which way they would take the penalties".

"Unai Simon told me: 'I'm going to leave the paper behind the goal, don't touch it'. I told him: 'Don't worry, I'm not going to touch it, but hide it well,'" added Bono, who recounted how he warned Abdelhamid Sabiri.

"When Sabiri was going to take the penalty, I told him: 'Change the side, change it, shoot to the other side! He changed and scored". The story of how Unai Simon's innocence ended up being crucial to Morocco's legacy in the history of the World Cup in Qatar.
