TEAM NEWS
Udinese: Julio Velázquez should have a full squad to choose from against the 'Old Lady'.
Juventus: 'Bianconero' defender Daniele Rugani suffered a broken rib against Frosinone and will miss the game as a result. He will likely be joined on the sidelines by Sami Khedira, who aggravated a thigh injury in the Champions League victory over Young Boys. On a more positive note, Mattia De Sciglio returned to training this week and could be in contention for a place in the squad. Cristiano Ronaldo also returns to the squad after being suspended in Europe.
Velázquez: "Juventus are one of the best teams in the world, both with and without the ball. We'll play with grit and determination and give it our absolute best. In every league you get a team that's out there in front: in Spain there's Real Madrid and Barcelona, in France, PSG. In Italy, Juventus are a notch above the rest. It won't be easy but I believe we can take points off them. As I've said before, we must remain level-headed and keep working away whether we win or lose. Obviously you learn more from a defeat but our aim must be to improve constantly regardless. Juventus are an exceptional team with a very experienced coach. Allegri has instilled balance in the team. It's not easy to come into a successful club and do what he's done."
Allegri: "Playing away at Udinese is always a battle and we'll need to approach the match with focus and determination. On a technical level, it may not be the easiest on the eye. The team has improved significantly in quality thanks to the club's investment and we'll see whether we're a better team at the end of the season. We've won a lot over the years and only the Champions League is missing. Tomorrow I could go with a front three of Mandzukic, Dybala and Cristiano, or one of them could be rested. Cuadrado is in good form and his assist the other night has provided a boost. We need to find continuity in defence by keeping consecutive clean sheets more often. I repeat: tomorrow is a match that will ask a lot of the players both physically and mentally. Udinese are a force on the counter-attack, they're full of pace. They've lost the last two matches, so we must not be complacent but make sure that we're on top of our game tomorrow in order to enter the international break on a high."
