Trabzonspor's vice-chairman Gencaga Meric says that his side have offered to take the player on loan, but he admits that the Londoners are hoping to recoup most of the £30m that they paid Newcastle for his services just last summer.
Meric told 'Turkish-Futbol': "Sissoko is keen on joining, we have spoken with him and talks went well.
"We have yet to convince Tottenham or their manager. Tottenham want to recoup most of what they invested in Sissoko but we want him on loan.
"We have made our offer and are waiting for a decision."
Sissoko flopped at White Hart Lane during his debut season, making just eight Premier League starts despite being the club's record signing and despite Spurs' struggles in the transfer market, Mauricio Pochettino's side are thought to be open to moving the player on.
