The lack of depth in his side has become more apparent following back-to-back friendly losses, with Bayern Munich swatting the Parisians aside at the weekend.
Tim Weah gave PSG the lead in that one, only for for Javi Martinez, Renato Sanches and Joshua Zirkzee to secure a comfortable victory for the German side.
Speaking after the game, Tuchel took the opportunity to explain the ares of the squad that he feels need to be strengthened before the end of the transfer window, namely both full-back positions and the middle of midfield.
"We lost Yuri Berchiche and we have to replace him. Dani Alves is still injured and had to have surgery," Tuchel explained, well aware that the club are still without one of their key players.
"Obviously Thomas Meunier is coming off the back of an excellent World Cup and that's good and bad at the same time because he won't join up with us until August 6. With that in mind we can't put all the pressure on him. We need to find a solution at right-back," he added.
Finally, the former Borussia Dortmund boss explained the need to replace Brazilian midfielder Thiago Motta after the 35-year-old called time on a long and successful career.
"We need to replace Motta. Not just as a player, but also in terms of personality because he was a very important player on the pitch. First, we need to think about how to replace those three players and after that we can see how else to improve.
