Leandro Trossard is having a great season. He is going to the World Cup with Belgium, he is a key man for Brighton, and he is targeted by Chelsea. Signing for the Blues is something, as he as already admitted, that he would like. In an interview with 'HLN', he gave an update about this, saying that neither him nor his club had received any contact.
"In any event, Chelsea have still not said anything, not to me nor to Brighton. I have to wait and see. I want to end well at Brighton and go into the World Cup with good form", he said. He knows his would-be manager at Stamford Bridge thanks to his past stint at the Seagulls. It is none other than Graham Potter, who he was also asked about in the conversation.
"About him leaving for Chelsea so early this season? It was very strange because I've always played with Potter and he's made me better every year", he said. He was referring to the fact that it was strange at first to get used to suddenly not being with Potter everyday. He will have the chance to be back with him in any event if he signs for the Blues.
"You go through the whole pre-season then suddenly, a new manager turns up in September. Then you don't know what to expect, but it's been great with De Zerbi up until now. He really wants to play football and his way of understanding it is perfect for me", he elaborated. And he is not wrong: he has either scored or assisted in the last three games.
