Sheffield Wednesday's stadium experienced one of the biggest tragedies of English football. The 30 year anniversary is this Monday and question marks over who was to blame still remain.
Liverpool paid tribute to the victims by holding a minute's silence in their encounter this Sunday against Chelsea. In addition, the stands paid their respects for the victims of the disaster. The Kop and the Kenny Dalgish stands showed two mosaics, one with the number 96 and another which showed the words '30 years'.

The two teams wore black armbands, various videos were played on the scoreboard,, the flags of the stadium were at half mast and various shops around the stadium closed earlier so that their workers could come and pay their respects.
As of today, there is still no convicted culprit of the disaster which occurred four years later in the Belgian stadium of Heysel, in which 39 fans died in the European Cup Final between Liverpool and Juventus. The stadium's security was what received most blame and David Duckenfield, who was in charge of that match, was tried, but the jury did not find him guilty.
