Tragedy in the Bundesliga: Hector's brother found dead

Former German striker Lucas Hector, 31, brother of international Jonas Hector, was found dead at his home on Sunday in unclear circumstances, Auersmacher, the sixth division club where he played for the last 12 years, confirmed on Monday.

The Cologne daily 'Express' reported that Lucas Hector was found at his home after he had gone for a bike ride and said he was unwell.

The publication recalls that the two brothers were very close and that it was Lucas who brought 30-year-old Jonas into the world of football.

The two played together for years at the Auersmacher and Lucas, after an injury, stopped playing as a defender to become a striker.

The local media reported that Jonas had been released from his commitments to his team, Köln, and that he did not want to speak out about the event.
