Tottenham to go on the charge for McKennie

It seems like Weston McKennie's future lies in the Premier League. In the last few hours, it became known that Tottenham Hotspur are very interested in resuming talks over the Juventus midfielder. 

Antonio Conte apparently needs replacements in a midfield which has been been dreadful for some time. According to Nicolo Schira, the footballer could leave Serie A in the January transfer window after resuming talks with the English club. 

Days back, 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' said that Juventus would let the midfielder leave since he is reportedly not to Allegri's liking and Juventus are prioritising the need to renew the squad, so his departure could help Juventus. 

McKennie's numbers during the present season are not particularly eyecatching. In 13 games played, nine in Serie A and four in the Champions League, he scored just one goal and gave an assist. The American has a contract until 2025 so Tottenham will have to spend a good amount of money so that the players leaves for London.
