Christian Eriksen continues to be devalued while the closing of the transfer market draws near. As a result, Tottenham have been forced to lower the amount of money of they want to cash in on the Dane.

"It is not the best situation for anyone because it is not what anyone was hoping for. We can't hide the problem, but we must reduce it," Mauricio Pochettino in a press conference about the Dane's difficult situation in London.

Christian Eriksen is refusing to renew his contract which expires on 30th June so Tottenham only have this summer and the January window to cash in on a striker who was priced at over 100 million euros a few months back.

He has been on Real Madrid 's radar for years and he was tempted by Manchester United to replace Pogba who Zinedine Zidane really wants at Real Madrid.

However, Christian Eriksen rejected Ole Gunnar-Solskjaer's proposal to wait for Real's offer. Therefore, the close of the transfer window is just around the corner and Tottenham have been forced to lower their asking price

According to the 'Daily Mail' Spurs are willing to let the midfielder go if they get an offer for 55 million euros. A figure significantly inferior to what they were demanding a few months ago, but far more they what they culd get if he left at the end of June next year.
