BARCELONA DRAWS A BLANK
One of the most surprising results of the season was when Barcelona failed to score against Olympiakos in their Champions League group game, which finished 0-0.
It was the first time in FIVE years where 'Los Cules' failed to score in Europe, with Luis Suarez coming the closet when his shot ricocheted off the crossbar.
Sometimes it just isn't meant to be your day...

RONALDO'S INCREDIBLE BICYCLE KICK
It will go down as one of the best goals in the history of the Champions League and was certainly the most talked about moment of this year's competition.
Rising high off the ground, Ronaldo swerved his body to score an outrageous overhead kick against Juventus in their quarter-final first leg.
It was so good that even the rival supporters stood up and applauded his skill and audacity. Bravo Ronaldo!

LIVERPOOL DOWNED THE PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
Manchester City may have won England's top division in convincing fashion but they suffered a humiliating defeat to their rivals in the quarter-final stage.
A first-half blitz saw Liverpool take the first leg 3-0, with City failing to even have a shot on target, despite boasting one of the best attacks on the continent.
The second leg gave them a slimmer of hope when Gabriel Jesus clawed one back but Mohamed Salah dug the knife in further as Liverpool ran out winners 5-1 on aggregate.

ROMA STUN BARCELONA WITH UNBELIEVABLE COMEBACK
Ernesto Valverde's side went into the second leg in Rome with a 4-1 advantage. Many had even written the tie off. But they were wrong..
Edin Dzeko made it 4-2, Daniele de Rossi made it 4-3 and Kostas Manolas scored in the dying minutes to make it 4-4, meaning Roma went through on away goals.
The crowd at the Stadio Olimpico understandably went ballistic at the final whistle as Roma celebrated one of the greatest Champions League comebacks in history.
There was tears and jubilation with many predicting a baby boom in Rome nine months later.

REAL MADRID - JUVENTUS CONTROVERSY
Just when things couldn't have gotten more exciting following Roma's triumph over Barcelona, up stepped Juventus and Real Madrid.
'Los Blancos' too held a three-goal advantage going into the second leg (3-0) but the 'Bianconeri' weren't prepared to give up a place in the semi-final without a fight.
Mario Mandzukic scored twice whilst Blasise Matuidi added the third to make it 3-3 on aggregate going into the dying minutes.
Then Mehdi Benatia wrapped his leg around Lucas Vazquez, putting his arm on his back just for good measure, leaving Michael Oliver little choice but to point to the spot.
Anger enraged the Juve players who surrounded Oliver instantly. Buffon's protests were a little too vocal and aggressive and was subsequently handed a red card, meaning he couldn't step up to take the penalty.
Wojciech Szczesny was brought on but he couldn't stop a pin-point accurate penalty from no other than Cristiano Ronaldo.
