Tindall confident Howe will be ready for Newcastle’s clash with Man Utd

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe will return to the bench for Saturday's Premier League clash with Manchester United despite missing Friday's media appearance due to illness. Assistant manager Jason Tindall assured fans that Howe's absence has not disrupted preparations for the game at St James' Park.
“He’s been really poorly in the last couple of days, but we’ve been in daily contact. We’ve been speaking three or four times a day, so it’s not affected any of the preparations. I’m sure he’ll be fine for the weekend,” Tindall said during the pre-match conference.
The Magpies are aiming for their first league double over Manchester United since the 1930/31 campaign, following their 2-1 win at Old Trafford earlier in the season. Victory would also mark the fourth successive Premier League triumph for Howe's side.
Tindall also provided an update on Anthony Gordon, who has served his three-match suspension but missed Monday’s 3-0 win against Leicester City due to injury. “He was back out on the grass for a session yesterday, so we’ll assess him again today and make a late call on whether he’s available for Sunday,” Tindall said.
