There are players who seem to be made to play for a certain team and that could be said of Timo Werner. The way he plays seem to be ideal for a club like Liverpool.
The ex-player Owen Hargreaves has compared him to Fernando Torres because of his style of play and he has recommended the German to sign for Liverpool.
He recalled Torres' time at Chelsea and how he struggled to adapt to the West Londoners after triumphing at Anfield. The former Bayern man thinks Werner should have a good think over where he wants to move to.
"I think Timo Werner is going to score goals wherever he goes, but I believe his decision will come down to personnel. We saw this with Fernando Torres when he left Liverpool. The way they played – an incredibly defensive team with Stevie Gerrard playing those balls through the middle," the former player told 'BT Sport'.
And he said about Torres' move to Chelsea. "Then Torres went to Chelsea, a team that had a lot of slow possession and there was no space for him to run into. I think Timo Werner is that type, the Fernando Torres type, where he is super explosive. He will run away from anyone. He would suit Liverpool," Hargreaves concluded.
