"Three years could be enough for Valverde"

Being the Barca coach is not easy. Therefore, according to Bartomeu, Valverde looks so serious. "The responsibility is huge. It's very demanding. Here the option is to win it all. Either you win everything or it's not a good season. I have had a lot of coaches and they are all serious," he analysed. 

And he explained how Valverde is in reality. "Ernesto is fun, nice," he stated. 

Beyond that, Bartomeu spoke about the coach's future and revealed that he could leave Barca before the end of the season if either the former Athletic coach or the club think that is the right course of action. "He has a contract until 2021, but in Spring there is the option of deciding whether he stays or not. We have it with all coaches. Either he or us will decide. Whether he carries on depends on lots of things. Rijkaard was here five years, Guardiola four, Luis Enrique three."

He was asked directly if three years for Valverde was enough. His response was interesting. "It might be... but it is a decision which either he or the club must take depending on how things go," 

The Barca president also talked about Leo Messi. "I hope to give him at least another contract as president. At Barca we'll give him as many contracts as he wants," he ended.
