Thiago Silva played against Man City. Unfortunately, he was unable to play the game until the end. He got injured and left the pitch in tears.
But, fortunately, that got forgotten about after the final whistle. Havertz's goal gave Chelsea the Champions League.
Thiago Silva could not help but think about how different life is for him at Chelsea compared to when he was playing for PSG. "We're rewarded for what we've done. I remember the pressure we had at PSG to win this title. Every time we got knocked out, everyone was looking for someone to blame... and many times it was me," he told 'RMC' in a clear dig at his former club.
"It was a shame. I did everything possible for PSG, I tried to give it my best, but unfortunately I was unable to win the Champions League in Paris," he continued.
And despite everything, he only wishes PSG win the Champions League one day: "I hope they can make their dream of winning the Champions League come true. I left behind a lot of friends there."
He was sad he was unable to play the whole game: "A lot of things went through my head. But I wasn't able to carry on when I was only 70% fit. I had to be 110% fit. I'm happy because the team kept calm, we defended well and we knew how to suffer."
Lastly, he praised Tuchel. "He changed everything in six months, it's incredible what he has done with the team's mentality. It's been a very special first year here," he concluded.
