Bad news for Bayern Munich. Thiago Alcántara will not be available for the Bavarian side for the next three weeks, the team's manager, Hansi Flick, informed.
In the build-up to the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach which could see Bayern Munich crowned as Bundesliga champions, the manager of the Bavarian outfit confirmed that Thiago has gone under the knife.
"Thiago has had an operation on his groin, he will be out for three weeks. We made the decision to do this now. It's possible he will be back for the cup final", Hansi Flick assured.
In this way, Thiago will rest the remainder of the Bundesliga season and could be available for the German Cup final, as well as the Champions League which will be played in August.
Bayern will hardly notice the absence of Thiago. The Spanish international had returned to play after the Bundesliga break, although his place has been taken by a Goretzka who has taken a step forward.
