"They don’t even know what it means to be a goalkeeper" - Donnarumma silence critics

Paris Saint-Germain reversed roles with Liverpool in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16. The Parisians were better than the Reds in the first leg of the tie but still lost at the Parc des Princes.

However, the Premier League leaders were better in the second leg at Anfield but this time it was the French team who were more clinical and managed to seal their place in the quarter-finals in the penalty shootout thanks to an incredible performance by Gianluigi Donnarumma. 

The Italian goalkeeper kept Arne Slot's team at bay and saved penalties from Nunez and Jones to secure PSG's victory. After the match, the Italy international, who was named MVP, wanted to respond to the criticism he received from the French media after the first leg. 

"I got a lot of criticisms after the first leg from some journalists in France, but they don’t even know what it means to be a goalkeeper. I keep smiling, I keep working hard for PSG. I’m so happy tonight," he told 'Sky'.
