Tchouameni, who went to Real Madrid last summer with the aim of being a first-team stalwart, is currently going through a tough patch at the Madrid side because he's not getting in to Carlo Ancelotti's starting eleven.
The last time he started for the 'Merengues' was in the game against Espanyol on the 11th March at the Bernabeu. We didn't even get on the pitch in the games against 'the best' sides Barcelona and Liverpool.
Camavinga has overtaken him in the pecking order on the left and he knows it. Tchouameni went back to France for some minutes, which will go a long way to getting him up the pecking order in Spain.
"I'm confident, I know what I can do. There's a lot of competition at Madrid; you've got to be good to play", the, midfielder said with much sincerity. He's sure he'll soon be getting his spot back and finding his best form.
"There can be hard spells in a sportsman's career, this is the first time it's happened to me, but I'm still learning", Tchouameni said, who already got back to training under Ancelotti's watchful eye on Wednesday.
