After becoming 2019-20 La Liga champion, Real Madrid held a special ceremony which was led by club president Florentino Perez.
After the president gave his sppech, it was captain Sergio Ramos' turn to speak. He once again remembered the coronavirus victims like he did on social media.
"Thank you everyone. It's a day to remember all the people who have suffered during this coronavirus pandemic. Let's hope winning the league cheers them up a bit. We also have to thank those people who have made football's return possible and that is something people are thankful to us for," the defender said.
Ramos also referred to the controversy over refereeing decisions favouring Real Madrid since the restart: "Our fans have behaved in an exemplary manner. This La Liga title is for all Real Madrid supporters."
"There were lots of rumours, but we've had to work really hard to win this league title. We never get tired of winning. 'Hala Madrid'. We'll keep on winning," Ramos concluded.
