The young Leeds star that Belgium want to steal from the Netherlands
Marcelo Bielsa has a young player in his ranks that is called to do big things in the Premier League or Europe if he decides to change teams.
His name is Pascal Struijk and in his first serious season at Leeds United, Marcelo Bielsa has converted him into an indisputable player. He has now played 14 matches and started 11 of them.
This being the case, Belgium and the Netherlands will be fighting for the defender for the next European Championship due to the lack of players for the position, as 'AS' says.
The player is Dutch because of his dad and has played with the under 17s, playing in the 2016 under 17 European Championships, so he could play to occupy the spot of the injured Van Dijk.
However, the centre-back wants to obtain Belgian nationality and has reportedly started the procedures to do so. According to 'De Telegraaf', Roberto Martínez has already spoken with the player to tell him that he will be called up for the 2022 World Cup qualifying matches.
The Netherlands will not let Pascal Struijk go so easily and there will be a counter-attack with another form that they will put on the table.
