"The time has come to say that I am gay"

In an interview in the local newspaper 'Glamdalen', Tom Harald has wanted to say publically that he is homosexual, a sexual orientation that is a "natural part of life".

"The time has come to say that I am gay. Only positive things will come out of this. For me, it has always been a completely natural part of life", the referee said.

Curiously, his words came after refereeing the match between Valerenga and Kristiansund, in which, allegedly, there was a homophobic comment.

"Maybe the player said it on a whim, that can happen. We really have to get rid of these things. It's the height of irony because I just refereed that game", he continued.

Tom Harald is one of the best referees in Norwegian football and has also already referred in the Champions League.
