The fans handed over a large banner with a photo of Godín on, as well as a scarf and a shirt.
The shirt was of special interest - an Atlético home jersey from the 1989/90 season, made by Puma and of course bearing the Madrid side's old badge. Godín was impressed with the shirt, and showed his appreciation by instantly putting it on.
