Costly mistake could cost Valencia big money

Valencia announced months ago that it would file a complaint against the Spanish FA over the financial distribution of the Spanish Super Cup. And at present, 'SER Deportivos Valencia' and 'AS' say that the dispute is still ongoing.

Apparently, the Spanish FA have not yet received any claim from the club, which now claims that the body chaired by Luis Rubiales owes it 1.7 million euros from its participation in the tournament, held in January in Saudi Arabia.

According to the aforementioned sources, the association say that it has not paid such an amount "because Valencia did not return the signed contract on time", so they are not even considering paying this amount.

Valencia, after receiving the proposal of the Spanish FA, protested about the distribution and announced the mentioned demand, but did not return the document signed by the people in charge of the club. A mistake that could leave them without the right to see a single euro of the claimed amount.

In another dispute with the association, 'AS' says that Valencia has not yet received any response from the Spanish FA after demanding the audio of the VAR in the goal by Iago Aspas against Celta. The issue lies in the fact that the offside line was not shown in the replay, something that the organisation has linked to the error of a certain technician.
