According to Spanish newspaper 'Marca', the four teams participating in the Spanish Supercup's new format (Valencia, Atletico, Real Madrid, and Barcelona) are all worried about one particular issue: the weather.
The matches will have to be played under considerable heat, with temperatures well above the 20 degrees and possibly reaching 30 degrees; a change that will undoubtedly be felt by the players.
Indeed, clubs are worried the players will have to go from the cold European winter to the very mild, or even hot, Saudi Arabian one.
Valencia are playing Real Madrid on the 8th of January. One day later, Barcelona will be playing Atletico. Then, the winners of those matches will be playing the final on the 12th of January.
And there's not much to be done about this issue, as all participants will have to deal with the temperature shock the best way they can... Despite then having to get on a plane and go back to the cold.
