According to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Saudi Arabia has reportedly helped to violate piracy laws in connection with the station 'beoutQ', according to the newspaper 'AS'.
The purchase of Newcastle is starting to ruffle some feathers and the chair of the International Trade Select Committee, Angus MacNeil, harshly slammed the sale of the English side.
"The WTO has made a landmark decision on the protection of sports rights, which is one of the UK's most valuable and treasured exports. In its ruling, the WTO held that the Saudi Arabian government, from the outset, has been actively supporting the piracy operation 'beoutQ", he said.
Angus MacNeil also insisted on the government to block the purchase: "This is an insult to the UK Government, an affront to the Premier League and an abuse of UK sport. It must not be tolerated".
