Not all eyes are on Dortmund or London. Nor are they on San Paolo. This Tuesday, the Champions League sees some intriguing ties, that perhaps don't capture as much attention, but that magnify the return to Champions League action.

The Champions League returns. The famous song that excites so many football fans worldwide will be heard again. This will happpen in several matches that, by size, are more prominent. Most eyes will be on London where Chelsea entertain Valencia, in Napoli where they host Liverpool, and Dortmund where Barcelona start their Champions League campaign.

Beyond these three matches, others will take place that are perhaps spoken about less. There are another five mouthwatering ties taking place- something that the Champions League never lacks.

It will be Conte's first outing as Inter boss in Europe. After an incontestable start to the Serie A with a maximum of 9 points, the 'nerazzurro' return to the star studded tournament with an in form Lautaro. Slavia Prague are aiming to cause an upset in the San Siro, however, in a group that contains Borrusia Dortmund and Barcelona, both sides know how important it is to get the three points in matchday one.

A beautiful battle will take place between Lyon and Zenit. The French side come in to the match having not had the best start to the season, but they showed last season that they are capable of scaring teams in the Champions League. The russians want to take a step forward in Europe.

After the plain sailing of Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian league, they do not want to slip up at home to Genk. For this game, they will rely on the invaluable help of Haland, the 19 year Norweigen goalscorer that starred in the Under 20 World Cup and who so far has scored 14 goals in his last 8 Salzburg matches.

It is also the turn of the 'eagles' of Benfica. This time without Joao Félix on the wing, the portugese outfit are up against Julian Nagelsmann's ever diffcult RB Leipzig. The germans are just fresh from a draw against Bayern Munich, and are performining nicely in the Bundesliga, with Werner who has scored 5 goals in 4 games their main threat.

The Ajax 'kids' return to their favourite competetion. The Dutch outfit, who are now without De Jong and De Ligt, start the competition against similiar opposition- Lille. The French side also are also full of youngsters with Ikoné being their main star.
