After the sacking of Steve Bruce at the club, it seems as though the appointment of the two former rivals is imminent, especially with Terry announcing his retirement from his playing career on Monday.
Henry, who will sit in the hot seat at Villa Park should reports be believed, has worked with some of the best managers of the last two decades, but two names will particularly influence him.
Pep Guardiola was the man who apparently 're-taught' Henry how to think about football at the age of 30, and masterminded the Frenchman's only Champions League win as a player.
Arsene Wenger, however, will probably be the man to most influence how Henry sees the game. The legendary coach brought him in to the first team at Monaco, and of course managed him at the peak of his playing powers at Arsenal.
Terry is also not short of inspiration, after working under the likes of Claudio Ranieri, Carlo Ancellotti and Rafa Benitez.
But he will too take most of his influence from one man, Jose Mourinho, who brought Chelsea their first two league titles and won a third on his return to the club.
What's for sure, the Villa players will be expected to play at the highest standards.
