The king of trolling once again: Lingard ruins bet in 98th minute

The Premier League brought the curtain down on another season with Manchester United finishing third after a great finish to the season. In their final match against Leicester, Bruno Fernandes gave the red devils the lead - and Lingard sealed the win.

A goal with more meaning than the statistic - it was in the 98th minute. On social media, a tweet went viral that referred to a bet that required a Lingard blank in terms of goals and assists this season in the Premier League. Something that was happening until the 98th minute of the last matchday.

"It's going to happen isn't it", he published minutes before the final whistle- and in the buildup to Lingard's goal- the star of the bet. With 3 pounds he was going to win 135. A real bargain that was left as a meme.

With that goal in added time, Lingard made the bet impossible for the user, who could not contain his laughter in his tweets when he saw what happened. "Should never have doubted the true king. Top trolling by Jesse Lingard", he wrote.
