The summer is getting closer and clubs are preparing themselves for transfers. This year they will be especially important. Because there will not be too much margin because of the lossses provoked by COVID-19: it will be an austere summer market.
For that reason, it is especially important that clubs identify their priorities. At Barca, they are looking for a forward and the favourite has been Lautaro Martínez for a long time.
Signing the Inter Milan attacker isn't going to be precisely cheap. Hence, according to the 'Daily Mail', Barcelona are already contemplating other alternatives.
"Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is Barca's imperfect 'plan B', who are preparing themselves for the departure of Luis Suárez". The reason for this 'imperfection' is none other than the age of Aubameyang.
Barca, in principle, want a young talent, so that he has a long career at the Camp Nou. Aubameyang is 30, so he wouldn't 100% fit the profile. But 'Daily Mail' recalls his price: they could get him for around 20 million, something that would seduce the Catalan club.
If Barca pass on Aubameyang, the soruce continues, Lautaro's club Inter would look very favourably on the Gabonese player, whose Arsenal contract ends in 2021.
It isn't the first time that Aubameyang is being linked with Barca. In fact, at the end of 2019, the Arsenal attacker was already situated on Barca's radar.
