Thursday was a busy day at Barcelona. It was surprisingly leaked that Mino Raiola and Erling Haaland's father travelled to Barcelona to weigh up the possibility of the Norwegian striker signing for the Catalan outfit.
They also talked to Real Madrid and will also continue their meetings with the main English clubs very soon. At least it gave Barca hope of getting a player they thought they had no chance of getting.
However, 'RAC1' went into more detail on the talks between Haaland and Barca and they highlighted how difficult it would be to get him. Not only for Barca. Whoever wants Haaland will have to pay 30 million euros net to Haaland, 20 million to his father and 20 million more to his agent Mino Raiola. And that is excluding the transfer fee.
It has also been reported that his signing would be subject to Leo Messi staying at Barcelona. That is yet another problem for the La Liga side.
Even though Haaland has become a big target for Barca for the 2021-22 season, it remains to be seen what happens given the club's difficult financial situation. Based on the large fees, not even selling several players will be enough to sign the striker.
