After a somewhat turbulent season for Zidane's squad, there could be some drastic changes in the Madrid squad ahead of next season. Several 'Los Blancos' players are reportedly set to leave, the majority due to a lack of minutes or confidence, and may well have played in their last 'El Clasico' in the Real jersey.
Those most widely tipped to leave are the young stars who returned from loan seasons last summer: Jesus Vallejo, Marcos Llorente and Borja Mayoral. They have suffered from a lack of game time since their return and are likely to swap Real for a club that is less internally competitive to boost their playing time and careers.
Kiko Casilla, Theo Hernandez and Dani Ceballos are also rumoured to be departing the Bernabeu. The recent signing of a new goalkeeper could send Casilla packing whilst Hernandez and Cebollas have failed to impress this season and Zidane could push them out of the door in the summer.
Meanwhile, speculation over Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema's future with 'Los Blancos' has been constant this season.
Bale featured in the starting line-up in 'El Clasico' but otherwise has spent a large portion of their campaign sat on the bench. Certainly, the Wales international will have no shortage of interest, although it depends on whether he is happy to adapt to a more secondary role or wants to follow in the footsteps of James Rodriguez or Alvaro Morata.
As for Benzema, there has been plenty of talk regarding his longevity in the Spanish capital. The Frenchman was key in the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich scoring two vital goals, but his season has been largely underwhelming.
With the potential for eight players to bid farewell to the ranks of Real, it will be interesting to see how the summer transfer window shapes up for the Spanish giants.
