Bayern's grim 5-1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt ended up costing Niko Kovac his job. The Croat was sacked, but before that, according to 'Bild', he had an explosive face to face with his players.
According to the aforementioned source, he met at 9:45 on Sunday morning with his then players and had a 20-minute chat in which he showed them several passages of play from the match against Eintracht.
Kovac, who perhaps knew he was going to be sacked, didn't hold back and individually criticised every player that more than disappointed him in the Bundesliga match.
"Don't try to do keepy-ups", he said to Thiago, one of the most criticised. "You lose the ball very easily", he continued referring to Gnabry.
With Jerôme Boateng, who was sent off early on in the match, he was somewhat more half-hearted. He asked him to be smarter and not fall into the trap in the piece of play where he saw red.
They weren't the only ones. He also had words for Kingsley Coman, who he compared to Thomas Müller: "He always fights, you just stand there".
Words that didn't have much effect on the players, who seemed to pay little attention. Maybe there was a tip-off to the board, who ended up sacking Kovac that evening.
