"The comeback starts tonight"

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted that the chances of being in the semifinals “are very low” after losing 3-0 to Arsenal.
“Tough defeat, obviously, we didn't expect this. The first half the team was quite organised, but after the two free-kick goals, the team collapsed a bit mentally and physically. It was difficult to finish the game like that. Normally, this team has the reaction, but in the last thirty minutes they were very bad,” said Ancelotti at the press conference.
“The chances are very low, but we have to try. We are going to try in every way. Let's see if we are able to do it. The comeback starts tonight. The result is complicated to come back, but we have done things well, we could have taken the lead in the first half. We worked hard and physically we were at a very high level”.
“If you watch today's game it looks like there is no chance, but football changes very quickly,” added the Italian. Asked if he sees himself responsible for this defeat, the 'Merengues' coach was very clear: “There is no doubt”.
On the mood: “It's difficult to explain. We tried to make individual plays and we got a bit lost on the pitch. They controlled the game and the result, above all”.
Ancelotti also spoke candidly at the press conference about his feelings after the match: “It's difficult to say. There are two evaluations. One leaves me satisfied with 0-0. The reaction was very bad and I think it's a little bit of what we've had this season. The difficulty of making a compact block in good and bad moments”.
On the other hand, on the lineup: “It is a different lineup than in previous years, but it is the best. The good ones have to play, but we have to organise things to be a compact block”.
Finally, the Italian coach took hold of the thread of the comeback: “After tonight it seems that there is no chance, but in football there are changes. Nobody expected them to score two goals from direct set pieces. Many comebacks have happened at the Bernabeu”.
