The initiative led by Jordi Farré, reached the necessary number of signatures to approve the vote of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu, the president of Barcelona.
However, the club denounced possible irregularities in the signatures on the vote, which caused the Guardia Civil to request the documentation, including the 19,532 signatures.
But the voting group is, for the moment, reluctant to hand over the signatures and, as 'Cadena SER' points out, they reportedly sent a letter to Barcelona to ask them to ask the Government what kind of information it can provide.
In the meantime, the signatures that could throw Bartomeu out of the presidency are confined until such time as the club's complaint is resolved.
The group, in addition, will have to announce this week the date in which the referendum will be held, which could be set for Saturday, the 24th of October and coincide with the 'Clásico' against Real Madrid.
