Liverpool were made Champions of the UEFA Super Cup last night in the penalty shootout thanks to Adrian San Miguel, but it could have been a very different ending.

After a very impressive shootout from both teams, Abraham failed the fifth and final penalty. Adrian San Miguel became hero of the night, when he saved the shot, which was going down the middle, with his foot.

Chelsea fans became very angry about the situation. Not only about the defeat in the penalty shootout, but also because they felt they had been cheated out of the win.

And this is why: in the final penalty, the Spanish goalkeeper moved away from his line before Abraham hit the ball. When the striker hit the ball, both his feet were infront of the goal line, as is shown in the follwing screenshots by some angry Chelsea fans.

Social network was filled with fans annoyance against the referee and VAR, which was not used to check the final penalty. A decision that could have changed the outcome completely, or not.
