Barcelona's current situation is giving the world a lot to talk about. Ahead of Ernesto Valverde's imminent sacking after the SuperCup defeat, Radomir Antic gave his opinion, as he attacked the squad for defending the Barcelona coach.
The Veteran journalist Santiago Segurola also attacked Barcelona in some declarations with 'El Mon', and 'RAC1' programme, where he analysed recent events regarding the Barcelona coach.
"One day this will be remembered as the aftermath of a minor tournament that is not even considered a title in England". All of this happend after Barcelona's best game of the season. The first game that gave us a reason to be optimistic," he started in an aggresive way, then continued.
"The Barcelona thing is a self-destructive process in which the negatives are emphasised more than the positives. What counts is that Barca are leaders in the league and that, with five days until the next game, they don't know if they will have a coach," he stated.
In his eye, this is not the time: "In the final 16 of the Champions League they face Napoli, who are not Liverpool. All of this is happening because of institutional weakness. A coach hasn't been dismissed in the middle of the season since 2003. At that time, Barca had not won a title for three years and this team won the last two leagues".
"It is clear that there are serious problems in Barca and they are not going to be fixed in what remains of the season. Barca's situation is one many teams would like," he concluded.
