50 top-level footballers are nominated for a spot in 2019's best starting eleven. UEFA, which leaves the decision in the hands of the fans, stipulated the finalists to opt for such an award.
The vote will take place from this Tuesday until January 9. To do this, fans will first have to choose a formation and then their favorite players.
The line-up has four positions. Five goalkeepers for a single position and, from there, 15 defenders, 15 midfielders and 15 strikers to enter the rest of the ideal eleven.
Liverpool is the team with the most candidates, with ten players. Behind them are Barcelona and Ajax, among others. The presence of important men such as Cristiano Ronaldo or Leo Messi should be highlighted once again.
Thus, the list of candidates is composed by:
Goalkeepers: Alisson (Liverpool), Ederson (Manchester City), Jan Oblak (Atlético de Madrid), André Onana (Ajax) and Marc-André ter Stegen (Barcelona).
