There are footballers that stand-out during their careers and others that don't. "Football is a game of the mind," said Cruyff. So, here is a list of 10 footballers that don't move a lot on the pitch, but they are still prized by their teams.

Boateng

The Bayern footballer is tenth in the list for running the least kilometres during the Champions. He runs an average of 8'727 kilometres each game.

Bony

8'722 kilometres is the Ivorian City's average per game. The striker doesn't run as much as his fellow 'Killers'.

David Luiz

Brazilian footballer Luiz is an important footballer for PSG. Despite him only running an average of 8'715 kilometres per game.

Ibrahimovic

Right behind David Luiz, is Ibra. The Swedish footballer doesn't waste his energy by running. He runs an average of 8'666 kilometres per game.

Zouma

The French professional plays for English club Chelsea. He's currently injured, but he usually averages only 8'665 kilometres per match.

Koscielny

Arsenal player Koscielny usually runs around 8'522 kilometres in every Champions game. They say that it's quality over quantity...

Gabriel

Another 'Gunner' in the list is Gabriel, with an average of 8'498 kilometres each Champion game.

Thiago Silva

In third position is another PSG player. This time it's Thiago Silva, with an average of 8'141 kilometres per game. He's still definitely one of the best players in the French team.

Leo Messi

A silver medal goes to... Leo Messi, the best example of why you don't have to run a lot to be a top footballer. The Argentine footballer runs only 7'906 kilometres per match and he is one of the best players in the competition.

Naldo

In first position is... Naldo. The Wolfsburg central defender racks up only 7'357 per game. Naldo may have ran the least during the Champions but, his team is definitely alive and kicking.
