Tevez: 'Argentina have only two rivals for World Cup'
Tevez had left Boca in 2016 for a doomed spell in CSL side Shanghai Shenhua before returning to the Argentine league outfit, among other reasons, in an attempt to make it onto Jorge Sampaoli's 23-man squad.
As it happens, Tevez will be cheering on his country from a distance, but the 34-year-old has no doubt that the 'Albiceleste' are among the top three favourites to lift the World Cup this summer.
He told the Italian newspaper: ''Argentina are favourites, only Germany and Brazil are at our level, the World Cup will be against them.''
In addition he revealed that he would be watching the tournament stateside as a fan , saying: ''I'll see it in Los Angeles, I'll be there during my holidays, but my heart will be there [in Russia].''
