Chelsea were unable to break Arsenal's record of 13 consecutive Premier League wins set in the 2001-02 season, as they went down to a 2-0 defeat at White Hart Lane courtesy of two headers from Dele Alli.
After the match, John Terry issued a rallying call to the Chelsea players, telling them to pick themselves up and "go again".
"Naturally we're disappointed to lose tonight, but let's not forget what a great run of games we have been on and the attitude and performances we have shown in these games to put us in this position," Terry posted on his Instagram page.
"We're still top of the league and that's where we want to be, come the end of May.
"We will pick ourselves up and go again @chelseafc".
Meanwhile, Gary Cahill played down the defeat, saying "one defeat in 14 is not a problem".
"We were short all over the pitch, I don't know why. We are not robots," the defender said.
"It was a great opportunity for us but one defeat out of 14 is not a problem. We won't dwell on this for a week, we go again and kick off another run."
"We've got the cup game to prepare for and then we go again in the league, dust this one off and go again".
