Ten Hag on Ziyech's playing time at Chelsea: "He has to play every week"

Erik ten Hag and Hakim Ziyech met again last Thursday at Manchester United's encounter against Chelsea. The Red Devils moved up to third in the Premier League.

Both the Dutchman and the Moroccan have a good relationship due to their past at Ajax. The striker and coach won the Eredivisie title and reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2019.

Several Blues fans were upset that Ziyech spoke to Ten Hag after the match and the manager was asked at a press conference what they talked about: "That is between Hakim and me. We have experienced a lot together, beautiful things. There is a bond for life," he said.

Moreover, the Manchester United boss spoke about the Morocco international's limited playing time at Chelsea: "He has to play every week. A footballer like that, in the prime of his life, must be on the pitch."
