Teams competing for something to play simultaneously in final two La Liga gameweeks

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced that any fixtures with something in play will be scheduled to start at the same time during the last two La Liga gameweeks.

However, it will only be the fixtures with something in play that will affect next season which are subject to this ruling. Therefore, any games that could impact the qualification for the Champions League or Europa League will start at the same time, as will any fixtures involving sides that are embroiled in a relegation battle.

As Barcelona have already won the league, it will only be the aforementioned three situations in Gameweek 37 that will see the fixtures start at the same time.

Any other games will be subject to change once the results of Gameweek 36 are in, meaning those that do not involve teams playing for something may play at a different time or on a different day.

At the same time, RFEF confirmed that this would also carry over to Gameweek 38 of La Liga, as well as Gameweeks 41 and 42 in the Second Division which will be played in early June.
