Niklas Sule will leave Bayern Munich for free at the end of the season, as the club itself has already confirmed, and the player knows exactly which team he will be playing for. His agent -Volker Struth-, without revealing which one it is, confirmed it in an interview with 'Sport1' in which he did not rule out his client changing his mind, although he made it clear that he does not think it will happen.
"The new club has already been decided. Niklas has made a decision and I would be surprised if he changed his mind," he said. Asked about the negotiations for him to renew as a Bavarian, he admitted: "We never negotiated. There was only a verbal approach. We met, we talked about it and I pointed out at the time that the player was considering extending his contract.
"It was not about money at all. A conversation was planned in January. Niklas spent Christmas with his family, called me in between and said: 'I don't want any more. I don't want this date to happen. It has nothing to do with money'. I spoke to Hasan Salihamidzic about a possible renewal, that was at the end of last autumn, six or seven months before his contract was up. By then, Sule had already decided and told me: 'I want to do something different,'" he added.
Barcelona are one of Sule's suitors, so their fans will have been paying close attention to Struth's words. Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are also close behind, suggesting the centre-back will remain involved in the big leagues even if he leaves behind his time at the Allianz Arena.
