Antoine Griezmann has not been able to perform as expected this season in Barcelona. The Frenchman has had good moments, but, in general, he has gone unnoticed.
Luis Suárez spoke about him in a chat with 'Mundo Deportivo', highlighting the importance the Frenchman has for the team.
"He is the kind of player you want in a team. It has a way of being that is very welcome within the campus and very dear, "said the charrúa.
Suarez acknowledged problems for the former Atletico player when it came to adapting: "Antoine had a hard time because things didn't work out the way he wanted, but he had our support.
"You've been with the club for many years and you know how difficult it is to get to a club like Barcelona and the demands are high. Every three days there is a match and there is no possibility to enjoy a great match on the weekend because, if on Tuesday or Wednesday you draw and make a bad match, there is again the criticism. We have to learn to live with the demands of Barça and Antoine understands that", he added.
The azulgrana center forward clarified that Griezmann has had permanent contact with his companions to surpass his bad moments in the club: "He speaks with many of the companions, knows the difficult thing that is to arrive at this club and still more being forward. All of us who play up front try to help him gain confidence, score goals and give assists. It was spectacular at Villarreal.
