Suarez gets injured, but Uruguay call him up
The Uruguayan striker had to leave the field after 37 minutes because an issue with his leg and at the moment, the extent of his injury is not yet known. As a result, the Uruguay coach, Oscar Tabarez, decided to call him up.
The list also includes the rest of the Uruguay squad like PSG's Edinson Cavani and the captain Diego Godin.
The Inter Milan defender is also recovering from an injury, but it is estimated that he should be fit for the friendlies in September.
One of the surprises in the list is the LAFC striker, Brian Rodriguez, recently transferred to the MLS side from Peñarol and who has been one of the revelations of Uruguayan football.
The list also includes the young midfielders Rodrigo Bentancur (Juventus), Nahitan Nandez (Cagliari) and Federico Valverde (Real Madrid).
Maxi Gomez, who has recently joined Valencia, also makes the cut.
This will be the return of Uruguay after being knocked out of the quarter-finals of the Copa America on penalties.
