Raheem Sterling ended his England goal drought as the 'Three Lions' shocked Spain in Seville.
The Manchester City forward scored twice, his first international goals in three years, as he linked up well with Harry Kane to emphatically fire past David de Gea in the first half.
"It was a brilliant team performance," Sterling told 'Sky Sports' after the game at Real Betis' Estadio Benito Villamarín.
"I thought we went straight at them from the beginning and we were clinical today.
"The other day [against Croatia] we played some good football at times but today I think we played really well and took those chances when we needed to."
It was Sterling's first England goals since 2015, where the 23-year-old found the back of the net in a game against Estonia.
Asked about the first goal, Sterling said. "It was a beautiful feeling; I put a lot of pressure on myself to get in the box and score goals, and sometimes it works for you and sometimes it don't but it's my position to score goals and I need to keep that going.
"It means a lot to me, as you said it's been three years, and it means a lot in a game like this."
It was Spain's first competitive defeat at home for fifteen years (June 2003, when Greece beat them 1-0 in a Euro 2004 qualifier in Zaragoza).
