Sterling gets closer to Barça if Dembele does not extend his contract

Barcelona's interest in Raheem Sterling is not just a January thing. Even though there is a real chance for the Englishman to arrive at the Spanish club in January, 'Mundo Deportivo' revealed that Barça could wait until June to get Sterling for free to replace Ousmane Dembele.
Joan Laporta is struggling to get the former Borussia Dortmund to sign a new contract, which makes the board consider options.
'Mundo Deportivo' also claims that Dembele's agent, Moussa Sissoko, has shown no interest whatsoever to sign a new contract between Barça and his client.
It seems difficult that Dembele signs a new contract with Barça before the 1st January and the same thing is happening between Sterling and Manchester City. Guardiola already made clear that he won't tolerate unprofessional behavior and asked his players to focus in the pitch.
A couple of successful years later, it seems like Sterling's time at Etihad Stadium is over. Barça won't have an easy job as many big clubs are interested in the English star.
