Sterling cut short Kosovo's joy

Kosovo were up for their match against England in Southampton, but no one was expecting what happened in the first minute. Southgate's men stupidly lost the ball in their own half and Berisha made it 0-1. Seven minutes later, Sterling levelled the scores to make it 1-1.

England were only one point ahead of Kosovo. Therefore, England wanted to win to pull clear at the top of Group A despite having a game in hand

But mistakes at this level are punished. Henderson lost the ball in the middle of the pitch, Muriqi fed Berisha, who returned to the starting line-up, and he beat Pickford to make it 0-1.

From then on, it was an England siege and it just took seven minutes for the home side to level from a corner.

It was not Maguire, but Keane who rose highest to flick it on to Sterling at the far post and the City man made no mistake to draw the scores level
