Sterling cut short Kosovo's joy

England were only one point ahead of Kosovo. Therefore, England wanted to win to pull clear at the top of Group A despite having a game in hand. 

But mistakes at this level are punished. Henderson lost the ball in the middle of the pitch, Muriqi fed Berisha, who returned to the starting line-up, and he beat Pickford to make it 0-1. 

From then on, it was an England siege and it just took seven minutes for the home side to level from a corner. 

It was not Maguire, but Keane who rose highest to flick it on to Sterling at the far post and the City man made no mistake to draw the scores level.
