Strikers live for goal. It's no wonder that obviousness loses it's truth. And in Sterling's case, his smile couldn't be any bigger at the moment.
If his last two seasons were good in terms of scoring, this one is shaping up to be even better. It is nothing new seeing the England international celebrate goals for Manchester City, although one month ago his form wasn't half as good.
Sterling improved his streak against Aston Villa. This is his 13th goal this season in the league and the Champions League, where he scored a hat trick this week against Atalanta.
He has been particularly fortunate in front of goal with England. In four games with the English national team he scored four goals between the September and October stoppages, in addition to giving as many assists.
In front of Crystal Palace, last week, the woodwork denied him the goal. But now everything is facing the '7', who already has almost half of the goals scored in all last season (27) and more than half of the 2017-18 (23).
